Origin: Cuba-Hispaniola
Typical Height: To 3-48 ft.
Stem: Solitary
Leaf: Palmate, with blade ⅓ to fully-circular in outline, silvery-gray/green lower surface. Leaf sheaths two-layered, closely-woven, but not forming spines.
Fruit: Purple-black to rose purple. Inflorescence small, curved down below leaves.
